CALICO is the Child Abuse, Listening, Interviewing, and Coordination Center. We achieve justice and healing for abused children.

We provide a safe place for initial disclosures by…

  • ​Calico leads the Alameda County Multi-Disciplinary response to and subsequent evaluation of the response to criminal child abuse cases.  This team is comprised of law enforcement, healthcare, and victim support professionals.

​

  • Facilitate and complete a forensically defensible statement while protecting the child’s well-being.​

  • Coordinating the crucial early stages of recovery.

 

  • Offering families guidance, resources, and support along the path to physical and mental well-being.

Forensic Interviewing

CALICO conducts interviews with toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities who have suffered abuse or neglect.

Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration

CALICO facilitates a unique partnership among thirty agencies to provide a comprehensive response to child abuse.

Family Support Services
